Redundant Veronte Autopilot is a triple redundant version of the Veronte Autopilot. It includes three complete Veronte Autopilot modules together with a dissimilar arbiter for detecting system failures and selecting the module in charge of the control.

The redundant version of Veronte Autopilot includes three Veronte Autopilot modules. These modules includes all sensors and features available in the standard Veronte Autopilot.

4x Full Redundancy
Veronte Autopilot electronics in the 4x redundant version are the same used in the simple Veronte Autopilot module, including three complete Veronte Autopilots. It provides full redundancy as each module includes all sensors and processing capabilities.
Additional I/O port is available for the connection of an external control system in case it is required. It provides the system with full dissimilarity for high demanding environments as required by civil aviation authorities.
All four modules are managed by a dissimilar microprocessor. This supervisor includes advanced voting algorithms for managing the module in charge of vehicle control. This microprocessor compares data from all modules in the real time and processes it for discarding any autopilot module showing an undesired performance.
Datalink communications are also redundant in Veronte autopilot, being possible to install 3 equal radios or to combine from compatible radio modules. It permits, for example, to have two radios working in the 900MHz frequency and one in the 2.4GHz so in case there is any issue in the 900MHz band the module connected to the 2.4GHz band will take control.
DO178 / ED12 & DO254 Compliance
Advanced safety and reliability is available in redundant Veronte Autopilot to safely carry out sensitive flight missions and transport valuable payloads. By installing a triple redundant core it is possible to extend the MTBF in the system. This control module is also suitable for both, fail-safe and fail-operational missions. Extending the operability of the system.
The autopilot is compliant with the most demanding aeronautical regulations for onboard electronics. Veronte Autopilot shows compliance with DO254 & DO178 regulations up to DAL B:
